MusicBear is an independent music blog about new releases from Africa and beyond. We cover new singles, albums and videos from the Nigerian (Naija), South African and global hip hop scenes, with a focus on Afrobeats, Amapiano, Afro-pop and rap.
What we publish
- New release posts with the key details of a song or album: artist, featured artists, release date and tracklist.
- Official videos, embedded from the artist's or label's official channels.
- Artist and genre coverage in our sections for Naija, South African music and trending releases.
How we work with music
MusicBear does not host, upload or distribute audio files. We write about releases and point readers to official sources: artist channels and licensed streaming platforms. This way artists and rights holders get paid when you listen. Read more in our editorial policy and copyright policy.
